CBNMed presents GUARDEN solutions to Support the Integration of Flora, Habitats, and Ecosystem Services into Transport Infrastructure Projects
CBNMed recently took part in two meetings to present the solutions developed through the GUARDEN project, aimed at supporting the integration of flora, habitats, and ecosystem services into transport infrastructure projects.
The first meeting, held on 23 September 2025, was the territorial dialogue consultation for Phase 2 of the Montpellier–Perpignan high-speed rail project (LNMP, https://www.ligne-montpellier-perpignan.com/), the project for which GUARDEN provides dedicated solutions. This meeting offered an opportunity to engage with various stakeholders, including environmental consultancy firms working on biodiversity aspects of the project. Additional information about GUARDEN will be shared with them in the coming weeks.
The second meeting, held on 8 October 2025, was the CBNMed Scientific Committee meeting, during which the results of the GUARDEN project were presented. On this occasion, a member of the scientific board shared the contact details of a person involved in the Major Railway Project in Southwestern France (known as GPSO – Grand Projet Ferroviaire du Sud-Ouest, https://www.sgpsudouest.fr/), currently under development. GUARDEN-related insights will also be shared to support the integration of flora and habitat considerations into that project.
